The Beer Essentials - We carry beer and wine making supplies and ingredients. Also mead, cider, soda supplies. We carry wine kits, kegs, yeast, bottles, grains, hops... Everything the homebrewer needs for great beer and wine!

We carry a variety of hopped malt extract kits for your brewing pleasure.

All these kits contain quality ingredients (or we wouldn't sell them!) and easy-to-use instructions. Perfect for the beginner or the person who is pressed for time or space for the more lengthy all-grain brewing.

These kits pack a powerful punch and are elegant in their simplicity. They allow the homebrewer great latitude in brewing styles.

Choose from lagers in the German, Dutch or American styles, ales (light or dark), stouts, pilsners, wheats, IPAs, Dunkle Bocks, rice or bitter.

A note: While the 6.6 and 7 lb. kits are complete and just require water to brew, the 3.3 through 4 lb. kits require an additional amount (2 to 3 lbs.) of malt or brewing sugars to brew.

Did you know.....
There are basically two categories we can place fruit bases in - Assertive and Non-assertive. Some fruits have a very strong taste, like blackberries, making them assertive. Other fruits have a very weak taste, like apricots, making them non-assertive.
After choosing your fruit base you then can decide on what beer base to brew. Most fruit beers are an ale-base since most ale beers already have a fruity note coming from the yeast.
